Orders & pricing
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Prices are shown in USD and may change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the amount paid for the canceled items and any applicable undelivered shipping charges.
Use of products
You agree to use all products lawfully and solely for legitimate research, and to assume full responsibility for safe handling, storage, and disposal.
Limitation of liability
Products are provided “as is” for research use only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Open Book Research is not liable for any misuse of products or any damages arising from their use.
Payment disputes & chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at info@openbookresearch.com. Most issues are resolved faster directly than through your bank, and we would rather fix a problem than fight one. Where we hold delivery confirmation, order records and correspondence showing an order was fulfilled as described, we will contest a chargeback and supply that evidence to the card network. Filing a chargeback does not entitle you to keep product that was delivered as ordered.
Shipping, returns & protection
See our shipping policy and returns and refunds policy for processing, delivery and claims information. Shipping protection must be purchased with your order to qualify for the optional transit-protection program, subject to its coverage terms and claim approval, up to $300. Without purchased protection, we do not offer discretionary replacements or refunds for carrier loss, theft or transit damage. This does not limit rights or remedies required by applicable law, or our responsibility for incorrect or nonconforming goods.
Applicable rights
Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies or seller obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable payment-dispute rights. Any liability limitation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
