Returns & refunds
Our products are supplied as research materials. For safety and integrity, shipped orders are final sale for change-of-mind returns. Purchased transit protection and problems with incorrect or nonconforming goods are handled as described below. Applicable legal rights are preserved.
All sales final
To protect product integrity, shipped research materials cannot be restocked, resold, or reused. We do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges after shipment.
Purchased transit protection
Shipping protection must be purchased with your order to qualify for the optional transit-protection program, subject to its coverage terms and claim approval, up to $300. Without purchased protection, we do not offer discretionary replacements or refunds for carrier loss, theft or transit damage. This does not limit rights or remedies required by applicable law, or our responsibility for incorrect or nonconforming goods.
Report a problem promptly
Please contact us within 7 days of delivery, or the expected delivery date for a missing package, so we can help investigate. Include your order number and available evidence. Protection claims remain subject to the coverage terms; this request does not shorten rights provided by law.
How to start a claim
Email info@openbookresearch.com with your order number, a description of the issue and your protection purchase confirmation, if applicable. For damage, include photos of the outer packaging, packing materials and affected items. For a missing package, provide tracking details; photographs of an undelivered item are not required. We will explain the next steps and any additional evidence needed. A claim submission does not guarantee approval.
Contact us before sending any materials back. We will provide instructions for your order. Do not send returns to our fulfillment provider without written instructions.
Wrong items or product-quality concerns
Contact us if you received an incorrect item or believe an item does not conform to its description or published Certificate of Analysis. These issues are reviewed separately from transit protection; purchasing shipping protection is not a condition for remedies owed for our errors or nonconforming goods.
Refunds
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Please allow several business days for your bank or card issuer to post the credit. Protection fees and shipping charges are handled under the applicable purchase and coverage terms, subject to required refunds under applicable law. If we cannot ship your order as promised, we will provide any required delay notice and cancellation/refund option. This policy does not limit nonwaivable rights.
